Kids Minstry
Kids ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to come and grow as disciples in the Kingdom.
Sunday Mornings Kids Ministry 9:15am-10:15am
Our Pre-K – 5th-grade Kids Ministries meet every Sunday for fellowship, games, time in scripture, and prayer. This is our primary time to connect with kids and help them grow as disciples of Jesus. Kids meet in the Education Wing.
KIDS MINISTRY 3K – 3RD GRADE
This year in Kids Ministry, we’re learning about the forming of
the nation of Israel, their leaders and their kings, including David, and we’ll
learn about Jesus’ baptism and the beginning of His ministry. Each week, kids will have the chance to hear
God’s Word out loud, connect with one another, and respond to what they’ve
learned by living it out.
Our goal
is to help every child:
- Know the Bible
- Feel the love of Jesus
- Recognize “God sightings” in their daily lives
- Share how they care for others and share Jesus
From
hearing “Jesus loves you” to telling someone else that same good news, we want
kids to experience the Bible not just as a book—but as the living Word of God
that shapes how they love, pray, and serve. Join us on a journey through God’s
loving Word—one that’s centered in Christ and filled with joy!
4TH – 5TH GRADE STUDENTS
In 4th and 5th grade, we’ll journey through the entire Bible—both the Old and New Testaments—over the course of two years. Along the way, students will learn not only how to read the Bible but also to love doing it. Our goal is to help them build a lifelong habit of being in God’s Word. As we grow in faith together, we’ll build meaningful relationships, serve alongside one another, and be equipped to share the love of Jesus beyond the church walls.
Family Events various times throughout the year
Throughout the year, we’ll host several events designed to help kids connect with each other, with their families, and with their adult mentors. Special events will often be the place where kids or families walk into our ministry for the very first time.
DISCIPLING YOUR FAMILY
We strive to have the best possible Kids Ministry but what you do with your kids has an even greater impact!
Discipling your family is done in so many ways. This can be anything from conversations on the car ride to school to life lessons after a disappointing loss at a game. Sometimes it might seem difficult to know where to start. If you’re not used to having spiritual conversations, it can feel awkward. Remember this: embrace the awkward, acknowledge the awkward, and push back the awkward. The more you have conversations like this with your kids, it will no longer feel unnatural and the door that opens is so worth opening! Don’t give up! You can do this! You are backed by the best disciple-maker in the business – Jesus! So pray to Him and ask for help. Pray for your kids too! Even more, pray with your kids!
Finally worship together as a family. Parents who show that regular worship is important, model this to their kids. The best way is to do this together. Is it always easy? Absolutely not. Will your kids make noise in church? Yes. It’s ok! We want kids in worship!
Here are ways to keep your kids engaged
- Relax: It's okay for kids to be kids.
- Sit close: Consider sitting up front where it's easier for kids to see.
- Explain: Kids are curious! Explain what is happening in the service.
- Participate: Kids learn by mimicking what you do. So sing, pray, respond, etc. - Kids will follow your lead.
- Wander: It's ok to move around. Sometimes it's easier to let fidgety kids wander. We also simulcast the service in the Worship Center Hallway and the nursery.
- Additional activities: We have activity bags available located at the entrances of the worship areas. These can be helpful to keep them busy during the sermon portion.
- Need to leave? No problem, but please come back! Sometimes, kids just need a break.
Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'"
Matthew 19:14
